Job summary

United Support Services, Inc. seeks a Shipboard Telecommunications Mechanic II to support U.S. Navy operations in the Hampton Roads, VA area. The role covers installation, maintenance, and repair of voice and data systems aboard ships.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair voice and non-voice communication systems aboard ships.
• Run cables and wire to telephone sets, terminal connectors, and networking equipment.
• Utilize testing equipment including voltmeters, ohmmeters, and continuity testers.
• Provide technical assistance to entry-level operators and analysts.
• Receive work assignments and determine tools and materials required.
