Job summary

ORBIS Inc. is seeking a seasoned engineering professional to support NSWCPD, Department 20, in Surface ship programs. You will handle configuration management, ECP/SCD tracking, HM&E systems engineering, and design reviews for ship modernization and acquisition projects.

You will travel as needed and must be a U.S. citizen with a Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 7+ years of naval HM&E experience are required.

Qualifications

• Seven years of professional experience in engineering support for U.S. Navy HM&E shipboard systems.
• Three years of experience developing and deploying technologies to improve ship performance and cost.

Responsibilities

• Support configuration management and control system changes across lifecycle.
• Manage and track ECPs and SCDs.
• Assist with design reviews and resolving engineering discrepancies.
• Track HM&E equipment, advisories, and naval messages; maintain status reports.
• Provide on-site support to ship design teams and review test procedures.
