Job summary

ORBIS Inc. is seeking a corrosion and HM&E systems specialist to support the U.S. Navy submarine and surface fleet.

You will evaluate Fleet data, advise on action, and provide technical support for propulsion, electrical, and information systems. On-site shipboard troubleshooting and collaboration on test procedures are essential to ensure reliable operation. The role requires experience in corrosion control, coatings, and regulatory compliance, plus U.S.

Qualifications

• Corrosion control experience required; hull/topsides coatings knowledge.
• Experience with shipboard electrical/mechanical systems and maintenance.
• Knowledge of CASREPs, 3M, and VOC compliance regulations.

Responsibilities

• Receive, evaluate, and interpret Fleet information to determine action.
• Provide engineering and technical support for propulsion, electrical, mechanical, and information systems.
• Shipboard troubleshooting and on-site support for HM&E issues; support waterfront maintenance.
• Develop, prepare, assess, and monitor proposed test procedures for Navy systems.
• Analyze data to identify reliability trends and cost implications.
• Support lab-scale testing and shipboard T&E efforts for HM&E systems.
• Assist with distribution and tracking of HM&E commitments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
