Job summary

INDUS Technology, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Systems Technician in San Diego, CA, to install, test, and maintain electrical systems for SURTASS-E support. This role requires an active secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, and at least four years in naval or industrial electrical environments.

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Four years of experience supporting electrical/electro-mechanical systems in naval/industrial environments.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, power distribution, transformers, switches and related maintenance practices.
• Ability to install, modify, test, repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical power-controlling equipment and wiring.
• Ability to read and modify electrical drawings, blueprints, circuit diagrams and manuals.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and test equipment; strong documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
• Configure power distribution components across voltages (110V to 480V, 3-Phase).
• Install and maintain electrical wiring, fiber optic components, and interconnect systems.
• Interpret and modify electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals to support repairs.
• Use diagnostic tools to check electrical characteristics and resistance.
• Diagnose faults and determine repairs or part replacements.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Provide lifecycle support including testing, maintenance, and documentation of hardware status.
• Document hardware modifications and support engineering changes as required.
• Support operations at ships or labs and coordinate with engineers and technicians to ensure readiness.
