Job summary

INDUS Technology, Inc. is seeking a SURTASS Electrical Engineer in San Diego, CA. The role supports Naval SURTASS-E systems, performing installation, testing, and integration of electrical wiring and equipment per installation drawings.

You will work with engineers and technicians to ensure readiness and compliance with the Performance Work Statement. The candidate must hold an active secret clearance, a bachelor’s degree, and at least four years of relevant experience in naval or industrial

Qualifications

• Active secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Four years of experience in electrical/electro-mechanical/naval environments.
• Knowledge of high-voltage equipment, power distribution, and control systems.
• Ability to install, modify, test, and maintain electrical power-controlling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical equipment and power systems.
• Determine placement and configuration of power distribution components (110–480V, 3-Phase).
• Install and service wiring, cables, connectors, and fiber optics.
• Interpret and modify electrical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Use diagnostic tools to verify electrical characteristics and diagnose faults.
• Provide lifecycle support and documentation of hardware status.
• Assist with documenting hardware modifications and changes.
• Support operations at designated locations, including setup and inventory tracking.
• Work onboard ships or in lab environments as required.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, logistics to resolve issues.
• Support prototyping or configuration efforts and perform duties per PWS.
• Bid and proposal support if requested.
• Other duties as assigned.
