Job summary

SA-TECH, a DoD contractor, seeks an Electronics Technician Maintenance III to support vessels at NBPL. The role involves maintenance of shipboard and ground electronics and installation of marine systems.

Candidates must be capable of working with limited supervision and be willing to travel between ashore and afloat locations in San Diego. Required are a high school diploma, trade or military training, knowledge of circuits and test instruments, and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduation from an accredited trade school, applicable military service or proven performance gained through experience.
• Knowledge of military operations is highly desirable.
• Ability to interpret manuals, schematics and test instruments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Linux environments; Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on shipboard and ground electronics.
• Install commercial off-the-shelf marine systems and specialized systems with no supervision.
• Operate and maintain WAN/LAN network equipment, HF/UHF/VHF Radios, and encryption devices.
• Manufacture, repair, and install coaxial and electrical and data cables and connectors.
• Apply technical knowledge to solve routine problems using manuals and schematics.
• Other duties as assigned.
