Job summary

MITRE seeks a strategic Naval Digital Infrastructure & Services Project Leader to manage an approximately 26-FTE program in FY2027, aligning NEN, MCEN, and MITSM with Navy and Marine Corps priorities. The role requires coordinating across task leaders, divisions, and geographically distributed staff to deliver objective, data-driven outcomes.

You will partner with senior sponsors to shape problem definitions, deliver technically sound artifacts, and ensure on-time, within-budget performance

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of related experience with Bachelor's, or 8 years with a Master's; or 5 years with a PhD.
• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, engineering, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, data science, operations research, business or acquisition management, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated Department of War acquisition experience translating mission needs into acquisition strategies, requirements, architectures, technical plans, or investment decisions.
• Systems engineering experience across complex programs, including requirements analysis, architecture, integration, risk management, trade-space analysis, and decision-quality recommendations.
• Experience leading complex, multi-task technical projects with sponsorship visibility across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, technical, acquisition, and operational leadership for the Digital Infrastructure & Services project, aligning NEN, MCEN, and MITSM with PA E MS priorities.
• Maintain understanding of PA E MS's mission, portfolio, acquisition environment, and customer needs across enterprise networks, digital services, data, cybersecurity, and manpower systems.
• Lead with Navy and Marine Corps sponsors to define problems, outcomes, and deliverables with measurable mission impact.
• Lead through task leaders; set priorities; coordinate staffing, budget, schedules, and resources; manage dependencies; ensure delivery.
• Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and opportunities clearly to sponsors and stakeholders.
