Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding seeks a Construction Supervisor to coordinate all aspects of the construction process for the AOR program, defining scope, goals, and deliverables to support build strategy and the critical event schedule. You will collaborate with trades and management to ensure safety and quality, while costs and timelines are controlled.

US citizenship is required for this role and relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

3 years Construction Supervisor experience or 2 years CS1 + 2 years planning/production control.
High school plus 6 years of production supervision experience.
BS/Apprentice plus 4 years exempt related experience or 3 years Military E-6+.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR, defining scope and deliverables to support build strategy and key event schedule.
Manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders to ensure quality and safety standards and that work is on schedule.
Identify and expedite resolution of design, material, grouping, scheduling, manpower or other problems that could risk critical path work.
Liaise with trades’ management to control cost performance, overtime requirements, and cost drivers.
Assess growth work and contract funded changes to ensure funding and integration with schedule.
