Job summary

Q.E.D. Systems seeks a Branch Manager for Naval Architecture to lead a ship modernization design team within a U.S. Navy yard.

You will oversee engineering and design staff, manage costs, schedules and staffing, and ensure compliance with Navy requirements. The role reports to the Naval Engineering Manager. Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in ship engineering and 3+ years in engineering/project management for Navy contracts, with knowledge of government contracting and Navy planning

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in ship engineering, design, ship advance planning, and ship modernization, specifically related to Naval Architecture.
• At least 3 years of management experience as Engineering/Project Manager or Deputy PM; managing Navy service contracts/major DoD programs.
• Familiarity with government contracting processes and Navy planning organizations is desired.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering and design personnel and control project costs, quality, schedules and manning.
• Report to Naval Engineering Manager and coordinate with Navy stakeholders.
• Oversee Ship Change Documentation, engineering analyses, design ship checks and Ship Installation Drawings.
