Job summary

ORBIS Inc. seeks a Waterfront Ship Manager Representative to provide on-site support and oversight for US Navy surface ship modernization programs in multiple locations.

You will manage daily waterfront activities, coordinate shipyard and shipboard access, review work plans, and ensure compliance with shipyard schedules and safety regulations. The role requires extensive Navy HM&E experience, strong coordination with NSWCPD, ISEAs, AITs, and shipyard teams, plus the ability to produce weekly

Qualifications

• Ten years of technical support for U.S. Navy HM&E with at least 5 years in Navigation systems.
• Seven years in direct fleet support, installations, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment assessments.
• Experience with NAVSEA Headquarters, NAVSEA processes and carrier fleet command structures.
• Degree requirements include HS diploma/GED and a Master’s in Electrical Engineering; Navy modernization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide updates for each ship in an availability undergoing modernization.
• Coordinate material delivery with NSWCPD program managers and ISEAs; track LOA requirements and locate missing material.
• Produce a weekly waterfront status report showing test progress, completion percentages, and on-site dates.
• Coordinate shipyard test support among NSWCPD codes; manage SPIR data entry and INCO spares distribution.
