Job description

We are seeking energetic, passionate people who want to play a key role for the position of Natural Resources Engineer 2 within the Division of Mineral Resources Management, headquartered in Guernsey County. The address is 9900 Brick Church Rd, Cambridge, Ohio 43725.

What You Will Do

• Work under the general direction of a registered professional engineer.
• Perform design calculations.
• Utilize Computer Aided Drafting Design (CADD) to assist with design work.
• Prepare construction plans for Abandoned Mine Land (AML) reclamation projects.
• Obtain and/or assist staff in obtaining applicable permits.
• Conduct inspection oversight of AML project construction as needed.

Pay: Starting hourly pay of $34.53/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7.5 years of service, culminating in an end salary of $50.66/hr. Cost of living adjustments (COLA) may also be applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service.
