Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and one year coordinating, monitoring, and/or administering program activities or providing professional administrative support.
• Alternate: one year of experience with Pima County in a Natural Resources Program Specialist or related professional administrative classification.
• Qualifying education and experience must be documented in the Education and Work Experience sections of the application.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing program goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and plans.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff or volunteers in program-related activities.
• Assist with development and administration of budgets, grants, and reports.
• Coordinate hiring and directing activities of contractors and monitor performance.
• Lead community outreach and prepare news releases or media materials.
• Perform field work supporting program goals, including invasive species surveys and management duties.
• Maintain databases, train others in geospatial data use, and analyze data for quality control.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in management, public/business administration, natural resources, conservation biology, wildlife management, or related field
