Job summary

Pima County seeks a Cultural Resources & Historic Preservation Manager to lead a nationally recognized program in Southern Arizona. Qualifications

Graduate degree in history, archaeology, anthropology, historic preservation, or a closely related field.
Three years of cultural resources management experience with supervisory/managerial duties.
Meets Secretary of the Interior Professional Qualifications Standards for archaeology or architectural history.

Responsibilities

Supervises and mentors compliance program staff and evaluates performance to ensure regulatory compliance.
Oversees county-wide compliance with NHPA and Arizona Antiquities Act for county and private sector projects.
Manages compliance databases and GIS mapping systems with accurate records.
Liaises with tribal governments, agencies, and the Tucson-Pima County Historical Commission.
Guides projects through regulatory review and advises on integrating historic preservation.
