Job summary

Pima County's Conservation Lands & Resources Department seeks a Division Manager for the Natural Resources Parks and Trails Division to lead outdoor recreation programs, trails and park stewardship across Tucson Mountain Park, Agua Caliente Park, and Historic Canoa Ranch.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, manage budgets, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive landscape restoration, event coordination, and rental operations while aligning with county conservation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public or business administration, parks and recreation management, natural resource management or related field plus five years of management, including two years supervisory.
• Three years of experience with Pima County in a supervisory position within the particular area of assignment.
• Education and experience must be clearly documented in the Education and Work Experience sections of the application.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in development and administration of the division's annual budget.
• Forecast funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders, staff and contractors to deliver land stewardship and park projects.
• Direct and evaluate staff work plans, workloads, and program delivery; ensure service efficiency and quality.
