Job summary

Pima County Conservation Lands & Resources Department seeks a Natural Resources Program Coordinator to run Gilbert Ray Campground at Tucson Mountain Park, a 20,000-acre desert park in Tucson, AZ. The role oversees operations, staffing, budgets, and community outreach year-round.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and at least one year coordinating programs or administrative work; experience with campground reservations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management, public or business administration, natural resources, conservation biology, botany, wildlife management, rangeland management, environmental science or related field.
• One year of experience coordinating, monitoring, and/or administering program activities or providing professional-level administrative support for a program or specialized work unit.

Responsibilities

• Develop program goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and plans.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Administer budgets, grants, purchasing, and written reports.
• Coordinate hiring and directing activities of contractors.
• Monitor contractor performance and provide recommendations.
