Job summary

Sprague, based in Portsmouth, NH, is seeking a Natural Gas Scheduler Northeast to forecast customer requirements, communicate with traders, and nominate gas to pipelines. The role requires collaboration with traders, account managers, and customers to minimize imbalance costs, with on-call 24 hours and rotating weekend duty.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in business or math, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced energy environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or math.
• Advanced computer literacy with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Forecast the daily requirements of customers and communicate changes to traders.
• Nominate daily natural gas quantities to LDCs and pipelines under supervision.
• Learn rules and timelines for pipelines and LDCs Sprague operates.
• Track and reconcile nominations, deliveries, and imbalances.
• Enter volume and cost data into SolArc Natural Gas and Safari; verify invoices.
• Respond to inquiries from customers and account managers.
• Other duties as required.
