Job summary

San Diego State University seeks a Native Student Success Advisor and Program Manager to support Native and Indigenous students’ academic success, well-being, and belonging. You will oversee NRC operations, mentor student assistants, and coordinate culturally responsive programs and events.

Working closely with the NRC Director, you’ll supervise daily operations, provide individualized advising, and collaborate with campus partners to create engaging educational experiences that honor Native

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a four-year college degree with related counseling coursework.
• Three years of progressively responsible student services work; one year preferred in the program area.
• Master’s can substitute for one year; doctorate can substitute for three years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and support student assistants in daily operations.
• Provide individualized student advising, guidance, and referrals to support academic success and well-being.
• Coordinate signature cultural and educational programs and events.
• Collaborate with faculty, campus departments, and community partners on programming.
• Support NRC operations and assess program effectiveness.
