Coweta Public Schools is seeking a JOM/Title VI Teacher Assistant for Southside Elementary School for the 2026-2027 academic year. The ideal candidate will assist Native American/Alaskan students in improving their proficiency in language arts and math.

Responsibilities include tutoring, conducting grade and attendance checks, coordinating with the Director of Indian Education, and ensuring requisite documentation is filed correctly. Strong creativity and communication skills are essential for this role, along with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to communicate with students and parents effectively.
• Must possess hearing and speaking abilities.

Responsabilités

• Tutoring Native American/Alaskan students in language arts and math.
• Conduct informal grade checks at least every five weeks.
• Make phone calls to parents to encourage attendance.
