Job summary

Norfolk Public Schools is seeking a Native American Liaison to coordinate services for Native American students and collaborate with schools and families to address cultural and educational needs.

You will serve as a liaison, assist with grant reporting for JOM and Title IX, and provide guidance to staff on Native American issues. The role requires strong independence and confidentiality, within a 10-month, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree minimum; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Nebraska driver's license; good driving record.
• Pass background check and child abuse/neglect registry check.
• Own transportation with valid registration & insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services to improve educational and cultural needs of Native American students.
• Act as liaison between students, families and schools; advocate for Native American students.
• Prepare reports and documentation for grant programs (JOM/Title IX).
• Provide technical assistance to school staff on Native American issues.
