Qualifications

  • Minimum an Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Nebraska driver's license with good driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and child abuse/neglect registry check.
  • Own transportation with valid registration & insurance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate services to improve educational and cultural needs of Native American students.
  • Identify individual cultural needs and plan with school personnel how to meet them.
  • Act as a liaison between students, families and schools; advocate for Native American students.
  • Prepare grant reports for JOM and Title IX programs as designated by supervisor.
  • Provide technical assistance to school staff on Native American issues.
  • Coordinate tutoring services under JOM and Title IX programs.
  • Encourage attendance and participation in cultural events.
  • Monitor academic performance and assist families in interventions.
