Job summary

Los Lunas Public Schools is seeking a Native American Liaison to support Native American students in developing affective and cognitive strengths. Qualifications

  • Master's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • New Mexico Public Education Department Licensure in School Counselor or Teacher.

Responsibilities

  • Follow local, state and federal law and adhere to Public Education Department and Local School Board Policy.
  • Consult with school personnel regarding culturally and linguistically responsive instruction and curriculum and work directly with Native American students at assigned school sites.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Work with individual students or student groups to develop communication, self-awareness, and decision-making skills.
  • Assist students in resolving affective and academic problems and plan course selection.
