Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Social Work, Native American Studies or related field preferred.
• Associate degree with significant related experience may be considered.
• Minimum of three years experience working with Native American communities, schools, or educational programs.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of New Mexico Tribal communities, cultures, and educational issues.
• Valid New Mexico Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen relationships with Tribal governments and community organizations.
• Advise on culturally responsive educational practices.
• Coordinate family engagement and outreach activities.
• Monitor compliance with NM Indian Education Act and ESSA guidance.
• Advocate for Native American students and provide support services.
