Job summary

Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD, seeks a National Security Analysis Executive Assistant to provide proactive, high-level administrative support to the Mission Area Executive and Managing Executive.

You will manage complex calendars, coordinate domestic and international travel, prepare meetings and briefing materials, and ensure effective communication across leadership, sponsors, and staff. An active security clearance and Citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with at least five years of relevant administrative experience.
• Proven ability to manage executive calendars, scheduling, travel, and expense processing.
• Experience handling sensitive information with discretion and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive, high-level administrative support to two executives.
• Coordinate calendars, travel, and IT coordination for both executives.
• Prepare agendas, materials, and records of decisions for leadership meetings.
• Coordinate sponsor and external visitor engagements, including security coordination.
• Plan leadership offsites and special events; document follow-up actions.
• Improve administrative processes to increase efficiency and continuity across executive functions.
