Job summary

USM is seeking a National Manager Safety and Compliance to lead the safety strategy across all operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and a strong safety culture. This role partners with internal and external resources to identify hazards, reduce incidents, and embed safety in day-to-day decisions, while coaching the safety team.

The role requires oversight of safety programs, audits, and training, with travel 25–50% to support sites, audits, and leadership engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree and extensive experience in safety/compliance leadership.
• Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead national safety strategies aligned with regulatory requirements and company risk profiles.
• Ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance and maintain inspection readiness.
• Standardize safety programs and drive training, reporting, and execution across facilities.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Develop and manage safety training programs and leadership development.
