Job summary

Trane Technologies plc is seeking a Rental Sales Leader to direct the Rental Services sales strategy for the US and Canada. You will lead a cross-functional team, drive revenue growth, and expand market penetration while aligning with regional leadership and company goals.

You will mentor a high-performing team, use CRM tools effectively, and act as the voice of the field on the Rental Services Leadership Team, ensuring accountability and customer focus across a national footprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field; 7–10+ years of progressive leadership in asset-intensive businesses.
• Proven P&L ownership with a track record of revenue growth and margin improvement.
• Strong commercial acumen with sales enablement and GTM strategy experience.
• Strategic, data-driven decision-maker with ability to influence across a matrix organization.
• Collaborative leader who balances growth with execution and develops high-performance culture.
• Experience in HVAC, power generation, climate solutions, or equipment rental is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the comprehensive sales strategy for Rental Services across the United States and Canada.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of business development and commercial resources.
• Provide strategic direction to enable the national rental sales force and act as liaison between sales channel and TRS.
• Drive sales excellence and accountability through coaching and CRM usage.
• Develop key account plans with regional leadership to penetrate new markets and expand demand for rental solutions.
• Act as the voice of the field on the Rental Services Leadership Team with cross-functional collaboration.
• Analyze performance against metrics like pipeline, win rate, fleet utilization, and revenue vs. plan.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing concerns and communicating with customers and sales team.
