Job summary

Trane Technologies is hiring a Rental Sales Leader to guide the Rental Services sales strategy across the United States and Canada. You will lead a team of business development and marketing resources, serving as the crucial voice of the field on the Rental Services Leadership Team.

You will drive strategic account plans, expand into new markets, and collaborate with Operations, Customer Experience, Product Management, and Finance to grow revenue and margin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field.
• 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial services, commercial sales, or related asset-intensive businesses.
• Proven P&L ownership with track record of revenue growth and margin improvement.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, and partner development.
• Strategic, data-driven decision-maker with financial literacy.
• Collaborative leader who balances growth with execution.
• Experience in HVAC, power generation, climate solutions, or equipment rental is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and execute the comprehensive sales strategy for Rental Services across the United States and Canada, aligning with revenue and margin goals.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of business development and commercial resources.
• Enable national rental sales force with strategic direction and sales capability building.
• Drive sales excellence and accountability through coaching and CRM use.
• Partner with regional leadership to develop key account plans and penetrate new markets.
• Act as the voice of the field on the Rental Services Leadership Team across multiple departments.
• Analyze performance against metrics like Pipeline Coverage, Win Rate, Fleet Utilization, and Revenue vs. Plan.
