Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead operations, projects, and maintenance contracts across the national footprint. You will coordinate with electricians, HVAC technicians, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.

The role emphasizes technical writing, MOP development, and adherence to safety and quality programs, with travel up to 40% and potential for security clearance requirements. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• PM certification or higher degree preferred but not required.
• Minimum five years of trade experience in construction, facility maintenance, or critical facility environments is preferred.
• Two years of technical writing experience preferred.
• Highschool Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong understanding of management principles, procedures, and standards preferred.
• Experience administering Quality Control and Safety programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage client meetings and draft project schedules.
• Write Methods of Procedures (MOPs) for tasks and projects.
• Coordinate tasks for employees and subcontractors across trades.
• Track project costs and labor; submit quotes and approve invoices.
• Create RFPs, RFIs, submittals, and other project-related efforts.
• Develop estimates for projects or tasks; support designs and maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70/70e, NEC codes, and ASHRAE guidelines.
• Maintain safety, security, and purchasing policy compliance.
• Communicate effectively with all organizational levels to ensure customer satisfaction.
