Job summary

ABM Facility Support Services in Maryland is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our operations, projects, and maintenance contracts nationwide. The role includes coordinating tasks, drafting MOPs, and managing vendors while tracking costs and schedules.

The position reports to the Director of Operations and may require travel up to 40%. A Top Secret FSP security clearance may be required, and compensation ranges from $76,300 to $141,700 annually with a potential bonus program.

Qualifications

• PMP Certification or higher degree preferred; not required.
• Tradesman license, trade degree or trade certificates preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of trade experience in construction, facility maintenance, and/or critical facility environments preferred.
• Two (2) years of technical writing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong understanding of management principles, procedures, and standards preferred.
• Experience administering quality control and safety programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management duties including client meetings, drafting project schedules, and vendor management.
• Write Methods of Procedures (MOPs) for tasks and projects.
• Coordinate project tasks for employees and subcontractors across various labor categories.
• Track costs and labor on projects; submit quotes and approve invoices.
• Create RFPs, RFIs, submittals, and other project-related tasks; develop estimates.
• Support project designs and maintenance programs; ensure compliance with NFPA 70/70e, NETA, NEC and ASHRAE.

Pay: $76,300 –$141,700 Annually

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for project management duties including, but not limited to, client meetings, drafting
• project schedules, vendor management, etc.
• Writing Methods of Procedures (MOPs) and the like for specific tasks and/or projects.
• Coordinating project tasks for employees in various labor categories (Electricians, HVAC Technicians, etc.) and subcontractors.
• Tracking costs and labor on projects and work tasks.
• Submitting quotes and approving invoices.
• Creating RFPs, RFIs, submittals and other project or task related efforts.
• Developing estimates for projects or tasks.
• Supporting project designs and maintenance programs.
• Utilizing NFPA 70 /70e, NETA, and NEC standards for providing services and completing tasks.
• Utilizing HVAC codes and ASHRAE guidelines for providing services and completing tasks.
• Ensuring compliance with security, safety, property control, HAZMAT, training, and purchasing policies.
• Inspecting work to ensure conformance to specifications, schedules, and safety regulations as part of the Quality Control Program.
• Ensuring that all federal, state, and local code requirements are administered on tasks and projects.
• Achieving high customer satisfaction through effective communication of both technical and nontechnical topics with all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing.
• Ensuring all safety regulations are closely adhered to and related documentation is completed as required.
• Ensuring compliance to all NEC, ASHRAE, OSHA, State Department and Labor Department polices, codes and guidelines.
• Performing other duties as assigned. (job duties may be modified at any time)

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or a higher degree is preferred; however, not required.
• Tradesman license, Trade related Degree, or Trade related certificates are preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of trade experience in construction, facility maintenance, and/or critical facility environments is preferred.
• Two (2) years of technical writing experience is preferred.
• Highschool Diploma or GED is required.
• Strong understanding of management principles, procedures, and standards is preferred.
• Experience in managing administrative processes for personnel and customers is required.
• Experience administering Quality Control and Safety programs is preferred.

• Proficient with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Project, etc.).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

The position requires frequently prolonged sitting in an office environment. The employee will have to enter jobsite environments that require PPE (safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, etc.). The employee may have to turn head and torso, bend and flex arms, wrists, and fingers, reach with hands and arms, lift, or move objects weighing 50 lbs. or more. Position requires that the employee has full use of eyes and ears and full power of speech.

Additional Factors:

This position requires eligibility to obtain a Top Secret FSP security clearance with the United States Government.

This position may require travel up to 40% of the time.
