Job summary

ABM Facilities Support Services seeks a Technical Operations Electrical Specialist to support projects nationwide, assisting the Director of Operations with schedules, vendor management, and task coordination. You will write MOPs, oversee electrical tasks, and ensure quality and safety compliance across multiple facilities.

The role requires strong electrical expertise, project coordination skills, and experience with NFPA 70/70e, NETA, and NEC standards, along with travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Five years electrical trade experience in construction, facility maintenance, or critical facilities.
• Journeyman/Master Electrician license or Electrical Engineer degree preferred.
• Two years of technical writing experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and UPS systems, distribution and control equipment.
• Experience administering Quality Control and Safety programs preferred.
• Experience in a critical facility environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project management duties including client meetings, drafting schedules, and vendor management.
• Write Methods of Procedures (MOPs) for tasks and projects.
• Coordinate project tasks for tradespeople and subcontractors.
• Track costs and labor on projects and tasks.
• Submit quotes and approve invoices.
• Assist with RFPs, RFIs, submittals and related efforts.
• Develop estimates for projects or tasks.
• Support electrical system designs and maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 70/70e, NETA, NEC, OSHA, and safety policies.
• Maintain safety documentation and quality control conformance.
• Travel up to 40% and communicate technical topics clearly across the organization.
