Job description

A leading nationwide security organization is seeking an experienced National Operations Manager to oversee and drive operational performance across a portfolio of a major national account.

This is a senior-level opportunity for a proven security and operations leader who has experience managing large, complex, multi-site security programs and working with enterprise-level clients and senior executives.

The ideal candidate will come from a large national security company, major security services organization, or the corporate security function of a Fortune 500 or similarly large organization. This individual will bring a strong understanding of security operations, client management, workforce management, performance metrics, and the complexities of delivering consistent service across a national footprint.

The organization is experiencing continued growth and is looking for a leader who can help strengthen operational execution, expand client relationships, drive accountability, and build scalable processes across the business.

THE ROLE:

The National Operations Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for major national security accounts, serving as a senior partner to both clients and internal leadership.

This individual will oversee account performance across multiple markets and locations, working closely with field operations, regional leadership, corporate functions, and client executives to ensure consistent service delivery and achievement of business objectives.

The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels — developing national account strategies while also understanding the operational details required to execute successfully across a large geographic footprint.

The role requires a highly accountable, data-driven leader with demonstrated experience managing large-scale security operations, national accounts, or enterprise security programs.

IDEAL BACKGROUND:

We are particularly interested in candidates who have held senior account or operations leadership positions with:

  • Large national security companies or security services organizations
  • National or global security providers
  • Large contract security organizations
  • Fortune 500 or similarly sized companies with substantial corporate security operations
  • Organizations managing large, multi-site security programs
  • Companies with significant geographically dispersed workforces and operations

Relevant backgrounds may include National Account Manager, National Operations Manager, Regional Vice President, Regional Operations Director, Director of Operations, Corporate Security Leader, or similar senior-level roles.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in security, account management, operations, corporate security, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large national or multi-site security programs/accounts, preferably across multiple states or regions.
  • Experience working for a large security services organization, national security provider, or Fortune 500/corporate security organization strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex client relationships and working directly with C-suite executives, senior leadership, and other key decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of security operations, workforce management, client service delivery, compliance, and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through multiple layers of management and influence operational leaders across a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with budgets, forecasting, labor costs, profitability, KPIs, and account performance.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated success identifying operational challenges, developing solutions, and implementing scalable processes and best practices.
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across a national footprint.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
