Job summary

Stevens Transport, North Americas Premier Refrigerated Transportation Company, seeks a National Logistics Account Manager to secure truckload coverage for customer-awarded freight and to grow dedicated opportunities. This role drives growth and retention, coordinating across teams to maintain service integrity and competitive edge.

You will own client relationships as the single point of contact, balance capacity with internal teams, pursue additional freight opportunities, monitor on-time

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or transportation operations.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel functions.
• Ability to handle high volumes of inbound/outbound email and understanding capacity and network.
• Extremely organized and communicative multiple stop deliveries.
• Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment with rapidly changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Communicating with assigned customer base as the single point of contact and build relationships.
• Balancing capacity and freight with internal departments and analysts.
• Soliciting additional freight opportunities that eliminate empty miles when possible.
• Researching and remedying service issues daily.
• Tracking and tracing shipments and maintaining on-time performance 95%+.
• Relaying excess load availability to Brokerage and Rail divisions.
• Reviewing EDI data for accuracy before verifications to the customer.
• Oversight of internal activities impacting service obligations.
• Maintaining key carrier performance indicators.
• Handling customer requests, including last-minute changes in delivery timelines.
• Managing bookings and resolving delays, billing, etc.
