Job summary

Stevens Transport, Inc. is looking for a National Logistics Capacity Planner to secure capacity for booked freight using company assets and alternative modes. You will coordinate with drivers, contractors, and carriers on a national scale, schedule loads, and resolve issues in a deadline-driven environment.

The role follows a 7 on/7 off schedule: Tue–Mon, 6:00pm–7:00am. The ideal candidate will have strong logistics experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to analyze data to

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include strong computer skills in Windows (Outlook/Excel/Word).
• Transportation/logistics experience is required.
• Ability to handle high volumes of inbound email and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with drivers via phone and system messages.
• Plan loads for assigned markets or customer accounts.
• Pair trucks with freight and confirm assignments with drivers.
• Balance trailer pool inventory by routing drivers to surplus/deficit areas.
• Monitor loads and resolve issues affecting pickup/delivery times and inform customers.
• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports as required.
