Job summary

Compassus is seeking an experienced Hospice Area Executive of Clinical Operations (Hospice Administrator) to lead patient care delivery across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality services within budget. You will direct planning, staffing, and monitoring of programs while upholding regulatory standards.

The role requires 50% travel across the United States, strong nursing leadership, and collaboration with the regional team to optimize outcomes and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• Two to three years of leadership and nursing experience in hospice or healthcare strongly preferred; equivalent combo considered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day patient/family care services and ensure high care quality and cost-effective resource use.
• Maintain onsite visibility with weekly visits and monthly validation reports.
• Manage the Big 5 programs: pharmacy, medical supplies, DME, mileage, and labor.
• Own Pre-Bill compliance and unbilled outcomes.
• Ensure adequate staffing and coordinate with Regional VP for budget planning.
• Monitor productivity and performance to meet standards across disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with Medicare/State hospice standards and corporate policies.
• Oversee staff orientation/education with Clinical Services leadership and corporate teams.
• Coordinate vendor and physician relations and ensure timely communications.
• Lead development and oversight of staff through coaching and performance plans.
