Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director - Health Systems in the USA to drive sales and market growth within large healthcare systems, IDNs and hospital networks. You will collaborate with RADs, AGMs, medical and marketing teams to execute strategy, achieve sales goals and support initiatives.

The role requires deep understanding of formulary processes, hospital workflows and key decision-makers, with 25–50% travel and a mix of field and office work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Advanced degree preferred)
• Experience with hospitals/health systems/IDNs and organized customers
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales in hospitals/health systems in an account management role; CV products experience preferred
• Proven formulary and pathway adoption success in health systems or hospitals
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Collaborative across field and home office teams
• Ability to lead and motivate a sales team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to travel 25–50% regionally and nationally as needed

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic account sales plan to meet/exceed targets in national health systems and hospital networks
• Work with RADs and AGMs to grow product adoption and win new business
• Monitor market trends and adjust sales strategies
• Pull through national advocacy initiatives within health systems
• Provide direction to RADs to achieve sales objectives
• Coach RADs with regular feedback for improvement
• Organize training on products, regulations, and account management
• Engage in conferences, trade shows, and stakeholder meetings
• Report on sales performance and analyze data to identify improvements
