Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director - Health Systems in the U.S. to lead sales growth within hospitals, IDNs, and large health systems. The role reports to the Area Vice-President, Customer Engagement and requires deep knowledge of formulary processes and clinician needs.

You will develop national account strategies, coach regional teams, and coordinate with cross-functional partners to execute initiatives, while traveling 25–50% regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales with hospital/health system experience.
• Experience with cardiovascular products in health systems; heart failure preferred.
• Proven formulary and pathway adoption success.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% regionally.
• Willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic account sales plans to meet targets in health systems.
• Collaborate with RADs, AGMs, and other teams to win new business.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Engage in business development at conferences and meetings.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to RADs.
• Organize training with Learning and Development on products and regulations.
• Report on sales performance and analyze data.
• Position CVR products within formulary and reimbursement processes.
