Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director for Health Systems in the USA to lead sales growth with major health networks, hospitals and IDNs. You will drive strategic plans, influence formulary adoption and coordinate with regional teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The role requires deep healthcare system knowledge, senior stakeholder engagement and a willingness to travel; 25–50% travel is expected to support regional and national objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• Experience with hospitals, health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and organized customers.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical sales with direct experience in hospitals/health systems in an account management capacity.
• Experience with cardiovascular products in health systems; heart failure experience preferred.
• Proven formulary and pathway adoption success in health systems or hospital environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% regionally and nationally.

Responsibilities

• Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop a strategic account sales plan to achieve sales targets within health systems and hospital networks.
• Team Leadership and Development: Collaborate with the Area VP and AGMs to coach and guide RADs toward targets.
• Market Knowledge: Understand formulary, pathway, purchasing and reimbursement practices to position products effectively.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to align customer strategies for national accounts.
• Reporting and Analytics: Regularly report on sales performance and analyze data to identify opportunities.
