Job summary

Bayer is seeking a National Account Director - Health Systems to drive sales and market growth across major health systems and hospital networks in the USA. You will collaborate with RADs, Area General Managers, Medical and health systems marketing to execute strategy and deliver on sales goals.

You will guide account teams, develop strategic plans, and engage in conferences and stakeholder meetings to expand product adoption, with 25–50% travel expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• Experience working with hospitals, health systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and organized customers.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales with direct experience in hospitals/health systems in an account management capacity. Heart failure experience preferred.
• Proven record of success in formulary and pathway adoption within health systems or hospital environments.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales goals.
• Travel 25–50% regionally/nationally; willingness to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic account sales plan to achieve or exceed targets within health systems and hospital networks.
• Identify opportunities to grow product adoption with RADs and win new business in health systems.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies.
• Lead and coach RADs and cross-functional teams to meet sales objectives.
• Organize training with Learning and Development to improve product knowledge and compliance.
• Engage in business development activities including conferences and meetings with healthcare stakeholders.
• Report on sales performance and market trends; analyze data to identify improvements.
