Job summary

Mariani Co. is seeking a National Business Development Manager in Vacaville, CA to lead domestic sales efforts for our dried fruit line.

The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS with 7+ years in regional sales, proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, and a proven track record of driving growth through strategic account management and lead

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• 7+ years of Regional Sales experience.
• Deep understanding of the CPG food industry; consumer trends and retail channels.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; able to interpret syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) and use ERP systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; results-driven with urgency.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Make sales calls and presentations to Key Accounts (Retail, Club, Dollar and Convenience Channels).
• Conduct Customer Store Surveys to monitor shelves, pricing, distribution gaps, and promotions.
• Use data (IRI, Nielsen) to create compelling sales presentations and insights.
• Lead and manage Broker networks; forecast, budget, and trading terms.
• Generate leads and develop comprehensive sales strategies for customers and prospects.
• Maintain clear, timely communication with Customer Service and other teams.
