Job summary

Komatsu USA is seeking a National Field Service Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment across the United States. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and performance, with substantial travel up to six weeks at a time and a week off.

You will operate within our Field Service unit, serving diverse sites nationwide. The position requires strong electrical expertise, a willingness to travel, and the ability to work independently or in teams, with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Journeymade trade / technical certification in electrical systems, welding or mechanical preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• 5 years of mining experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with VFDs, MCC and high voltage.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components and systems per standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve performance and reliability.
• Document service work and maintain reports on job status.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build client relationships.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to address problems and implement solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends to enhance performance.
