Job summary

Komatsu seeks a National Field Service Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on mining equipment across the United States. The role involves extensive travel, field welding or machining is a plus, and operating in a dynamic Field Service team.

Travel up to 6 weeks on, 1 week off, with projects in various states as needed. Strong troubleshooting, safety, and customer-service focus are essential for delivering safe, reliable equipment performance nationwide.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Journeyman trade / technical certification in electrical systems, welding or mechanical preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• 5 years' mining experience preferred.
• Experience with VFDs, MCC, and high voltage.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex systems in the field.
• Install and configure electrical components and systems to standards and safety regs.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to improve performance and reliability.
• Document service work and maintain accurate reports on job status.
• Provide exceptional customer service and build relationships with clients.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams on complex problems.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance performance.
