Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead nationwide data analytics, underwriting support, and client insights. This role partners with benefits teams and producers to drive data-driven decisions.

Remote work in the Eastern Time Zone and Florida; some on-site at Longwood, FL as needed. 5–7 years of experience required; competitive compensation and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Gather and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data for client decisions.
• Evaluate underwriting data to support pricing and funding analyses.
• Deliver data-driven insights on risks, trends and program performance.
• Provide analytical support for renewals, proposals and business development.
• Create reports, dashboards and presentations communicating insights clearly.
• Develop analytics methodologies and reporting standards.
• Use BI tools to enhance client outcomes and efficiency.
• Analyze trends and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
• Recommend process improvements to improve reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support client objectives.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Share knowledge and provide analytical guidance to the team.
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting methods and market trends.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Champion IOA values in all interactions.
