Job summary

IOA Insurance Office of America seeks a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead national analytics, manage data collection and reporting, and advise clients on underwriting and funding decisions. The role partners with Benefits teams and Producers to deliver data-driven insights that influence strategy and renewals.

The position emphasizes analytics maturity, BI tooling, and process improvements to support growth and operational excellence, with remote/eastern time zone

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles.
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data‑driven financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution‑development skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy and decision‑making.
  • Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations to support carrier pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
  • Deliver data‑driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
  • Partner with Producers and Benefits teams by providing analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
  • Create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations that communicate complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices to improve consistency and results.
  • Utilize and evaluate analytics, reporting, and business intelligence tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and improved performance.
  • Recommend and implement improvements that enhance efficiency, reporting accuracy, analytical capabilities, and service delivery.
  • Partner with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders to support client objectives.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication regarding analytical findings, recommendations, and client activities.
  • Provide analytical guidance and support team development through knowledge sharing and subject matter expertise.
  • Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, market trends, and industry best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and established analytical procedures.
  • Demonstrate integrity, leadership, accountability, and professionalism in all interactions.
