Shermco Industries, Inc. is seeking a Director of Utility Field Services to lead P&C operations nationwide from the United States and Canada.

The role targets safety, quality, and profitability through multi-location leadership, budget execution, and workforce development across relay protection, controls, testing, commissioning, and substation services. The position requires 15+ years of field services experience, 5+ years in multi-location leadership, and strong P&L management.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive field services experience.
• 5+ years in a multi-location operations leadership role.
• Experience with P&L responsibility for an electrical or technical services business of ~$40 million or greater.
• Working knowledge of relay protection and controls, electrical testing, commissioning, or substations.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop operating leaders.
• Strong safety leadership and ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and performance.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day P&C operations across multiple branches and service locations in the United States and Canada.
• Translate strategy, budget, and priorities into clear plans and execution rhythms for leaders.
• Provide direct leadership to General Managers and Area Managers, including coaching and development.
• Own operating execution for safety, quality, labor utilization, productivity, and profitability.
• Monitor KPIs: labor hours, revenue, gross margin, utilization, backlog, and forecast accuracy.
• Lead the operating forecast and annual budget, workforce, equipment, and capacity planning.
• Ensure staffing and resource deployment across locations to balance commitments and profitability.
• Drive safety compliance, field-audit expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote consistent work methods, technical quality, and accountability across operations.
• Partner with technical leaders to maintain qualified workforce and equipment for relay testing and substation work.
• Support technician qualification and leadership development programs.
• Maintain customer relationships and resolve service issues promptly.
• Coordinate with other Shermco groups to align resources and execution.
• Identify and implement process and technology improvements to increase visibility and control.
