Position Overview

The National Client Manager is responsible for assisting the National Client Executive and Director of National Accounts with their assigned clients and maintaining positive relationships between each client and Zelis. In conjunction with national accounts leadership, you will manage a strategic book of business comprising Zelis' national customers, aiming to achieve revenue targets, ensure client retention, foster growth through additional products and services, and deliver exceptional service to exceed client expectations and enhance customer experience.

  • Develop a 'trusted advisor' relationship with key decision-makers at all levels within the account.
  • Lead project management initiatives across multiple client engagements, defining scope, managing risks, and ensuring quality, timeliness, and profitability.
  • Assist leadership in developing account strategies to expand services within the Zelis product portfolio.
  • Serve as a liaison between Zelis departments and clients to drive satisfaction and operational efficiencies.
  • Communicate account plans and statuses to enterprise units.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate internally and externally to develop strategic plans to meet revenue, growth, and satisfaction goals.
  • Understand Zelis’ key differentiators, product features, and their relevance to clients.
  • Ensure adherence to Zelis standards regarding privacy and security.
  • Travel domestically approximately 40% of the time.
What You Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Healthcare IT or Fintech, preferably with major health insurance companies.
  • At least one year in consulting, client management, project management, or sales roles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
  • Experience interacting with senior executives at Fortune 50 companies.
  • Knowledge of Zelis’ product portfolio, implementation, and strategy.
  • Understanding of healthcare adjudication, payment, and support processes.
  • Sense of urgency, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to analyze healthcare data and summarize insights accurately.
  • Ability to operate independently and demonstrate personal accountability.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office, and experience with Salesforce is a plus.
