Job description

Position Overview

Responsible for assisting the National Client Executive and Director of National Accounts with their assigned clients and maintaining positive mutual relationships between each client and Zelis. The National Client Manager will work with national accounts leadership to manage a strategic book of business, achieve revenue targets, ensure client retention, foster growth with additional products and services, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction to ensure Zelis' service delivery exceeds expectations and provides a superior customer experience.

  • Develop a "trusted advisor" relationship with key decision makers at all levels within the account.
  • Lead project management initiatives across multiple client engagements, driving scope definition, risk management, and focusing on quality, timeliness, and profitability.
  • Assist national accounts leadership in developing a comprehensive account strategy for expanding services across Zelis' product portfolio.
  • Serve as a liaison between internal departments and client organizations to drive satisfaction and operational efficiencies.
  • Communicate account development plans and status to enterprise business units.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop strategic and tactical plans to meet revenue and growth targets while achieving client satisfaction.
  • Understand Zelis' key differentiators, product strategy, features, and functionalities, and their relevance to clients.
  • Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to Zelis standards regarding privacy and security.
  • Travel to domestic destinations approximately 40% of the time.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business/Management, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in Healthcare IT or Fintech, working with or for major health insurance companies.
  • At least one year in consulting, client management, project management, sales, or similar client-facing roles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and meeting management skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
  • Strong ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate clearly to clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience interacting with senior executives at Fortune 50 companies.
  • Knowledge of Zelis' product portfolio, implementation process, and strategy.
  • Understanding of healthcare adjudication, payment, and support processes.
  • Sense of urgency, ability to multi-task, and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills to address client concerns and feedback.
  • Ability to analyze healthcare data and communicate findings succinctly.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and navigate internal and external systems and processes.
  • Self-starter with personal accountability and curiosity.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office; experience with Salesforce is a plus.

Location and Workplace Flexibility
