Job description

Position Overview

Responsible for assisting the National Client Executive and Director of National Accounts with their assigned clients, maintaining positive mutual relationships between each client and Zelis. The National Client Manager will, in conjunction with national accounts leadership, manage a strategic book of business comprising Zelis' national customers' business units by achieving annual revenue targets, ensuring client retention, fostering growth with additional products and services, and maintaining high levels of client organization to ensure Zelis' service delivery exceeds client expectations and drives a superior customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop a "trusted advisor" relationship with key decision-makers at all levels within the account.
  2. Lead project management initiatives across multiple client engagements, driving scope definition, risk management, and delivering on client expectations with a focus on quality, timeliness, and profitability.
  3. Assist national accounts leadership in developing a comprehensive account strategy to expand the range and quantity of services for customers across the Zelis product portfolio.
  4. Serve as a liaison between Zelis departments and our clients to drive satisfaction and operational efficiencies.
  5. Communicate account development plans and status to enterprise business units.
  6. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and challenges.
  7. Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop strategic and tactical plans to achieve revenue and growth targets while maintaining client satisfaction.
  8. Understand Zelis' key differentiators, product strategy, features, and functionality, and their applicability to clients.
  9. Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to Zelis standards regarding privacy and security.
  10. Travel primarily domestically, approximately 40% of the time.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business/Management, Finance, Marketing, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in Healthcare IT or Fintech, working with major health insurance companies.
  • At least one year in consulting, client management, project management, sales, or similar roles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to tailor messages to audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret healthcare data and information accurately.
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and demonstrate personal accountability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Salesforce is a plus.
