Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics, collect and interpret underwriting, claims, and financial data, and deliver data-driven client insights. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to support underwriting evaluations, renewal negotiations, and funding analyses.

The role emphasizes analytical rigor, collaboration with Producers and Benefits teams, and the development of reports, dashboards, and strategic recommendations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles.
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data‑driven financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution‑development skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support IOA Benefits Group data analytics activities on a national scale.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data for client strategy.
  • Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations for carrier pricing, negotiations, funding analyses.
  • Deliver data‑driven insights to help clients understand risks, trends, and program performance.
  • Provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development initiatives.
  • Create reports, dashboards, financial exhibits, and presentations communicating complex information clearly.
  • Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Utilize analytics tools to enhance client outcomes and operational effectiveness.
  • Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support client objectives and communicate findings clearly.
  • Provide analytical guidance and knowledge-sharing to support team development.
  • Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, and market trends.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and established analytical procedures.
  • Demonstrate IOA values in all interactions.
