Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a National Analytic Consultant for Employee Benefits to lead analytics on a national scale, building insights from underwriting, claims, and financial data to inform client decisions.

This role partners with senior consultants, producers, and benefits teams to deliver data-driven insights that support underwriting evaluations, renewal negotiations, funding analyses, and strategic client decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data‑driven financial analysis
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution‑development skills
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non‑technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Data analytics and interpretation to support client strategy and decision‑making
• Underwriting support: evaluate data and develop recommendations for pricing and funding analyses
• Client consulting: deliver data-driven insights on risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance
• Sales support: provide analytical backing for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development
• Reporting and presentation development: create reports and dashboards communicating complex information
• Analytics process management: develop standards and best practices to improve results
• Technology optimization: use BI tools to enhance client outcomes and efficiency
• Performance analysis: analyze trends and benchmarks to identify optimization opportunities
• Process improvement: implement improvements for reporting accuracy and service delivery
• Stakeholder collaboration: work with seniors, producers, account teams, carriers, and others
• Communication: maintain clear updates on findings and recommendations
• Training and knowledge sharing: provide guidance and share expertise
• Technical expertise: maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies and market trends
• Compliance: ensure adherence to policies and procedures
