Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant – Employee Benefits to lead analytics across a national scale. You will collect, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, and financial data to inform client strategies and negotiations, partnering with benefits teams and producers.

You will develop dashboards, reports, and exhibits that clearly communicate findings for underwriting, renewals, and program performance, while promoting operational excellence and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
  • Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles
  • Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics & Interpretation: Gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data to support client strategy.
  • Underwriting Support: Evaluate underwriting data and develop recommendations to support pricing, negotiations, and funding analyses.
  • Client Consulting: Deliver data-driven insights that help clients understand risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
  • Sales Support: Provide analytical support for renewals, presentations, prospecting, and business development.
  • Reporting & Presentation Development: Create reports, dashboards, and presentations that communicate complex information clearly.
  • Analytics Process Management: Develop and maintain analytics methodologies, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Technology Optimization: Utilize analytics tools to enhance client outcomes and efficiency.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze trends, benchmarking data, and financial metrics to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Senior Analytic Consultants, Producers, Account Teams, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication regarding analytical findings, recommendations, and client activities.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provide analytical guidance and support team development.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain knowledge of underwriting methodologies, funding arrangements, analytics tools, market trends, and best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, standards.
