Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a National Analytic Consultant for Employee Benefits to lead nationwide data analytics, from collection to client consultation and reporting. You will partner with strategy teams to drive data-driven underwriting and renewal decisions.

You will apply analytics tools and industry knowledge to enhance client outcomes, support growth, and promote operational excellence while maintaining regulatory compliance and IOA values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field.
• Knowledge of underwriting, manual rating methodologies, funding arrangements, healthcare pricing tools, and financial risk assessment principles.
• Understanding of experience rating, claim cost projections, and data-driven financial analysis.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and consultative solution-development skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Data analytics: gather, analyze, and interpret underwriting, claims, financial, and benefits data for client strategy.
• Underwriting support: evaluate data and develop recommendations for carrier pricing and funding analyses.
• Client consulting: deliver data-driven insights on risks, trends, opportunities, and program performance.
• Sales support: provide analytical backing for renewals, presentations, and business development.
• Reporting: create dashboards, exhibits, and presentations conveying complex information clearly.
• Analytics process management: develop methodologies and reporting standards for consistency.
• Technology optimization: utilize BI tools to enhance client outcomes.
• Performance analysis: identify opportunities for optimization and improved performance.
